Chosen by the Palace and the BBC, my work was showcased at the King Charles III’s Coronation Concert, where I designed the visuals that projected onto Windsor Castle and a giant LED screen above the stage, providing a scenic vision of a starry night sky for a dramatic interpretation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, performed to 20,000 guests and broadcast live around the world on the BBC.

The Lonely Cell is a speculative fiction that offers a glimpse into a society set 50 years in the imaginary future. The work reflects the current issues of cyber-loneliness, with the lack of real-life interaction. In this society, the production of innovative food is automated, and human reproduction is done by AI. Through the windows, the viewer can mainly see three scenes: a living room, a dining room, and a bedroom.
Each room carries its own symbolism. The living room, once a space dedicated to shared moments with loved ones and guests, now remains deserted, with an individual in their own company on the sofa. Similarly, a person having dinner with their own reflection in the mirror. Even in the bedroom, one can only seek intimacy with oneself through the gaze of a mirror. It is evident that mirrors play a significant role in this society. As social interactions diminish and human connections grow distant, people become dull. In the absence of physical contact with others, individuals are compelled to repeatedly seek validation of their own existence by gazing into mirrors.

WEARABLE SCULPTURE
Shifting Cocoon is a thought-provoking project that raises fundamental questions about identity, privacy, self-disclosure, and social norms. The project prompts us to consider whether we all wear a figurative mask to protect our true selves, and whether this might become an increasingly common practice in the future.
The device itself offers the wearer a unique degree of control over their personal privacy. With the ability to reveal or conceal their entire face at will, the user can create a sense of security in situations where they might otherwise feel vulnerable. This capability brings a new dimension to the discourse surrounding personal autonomy, and it invites us to think more deeply about the importance of self-expression and self-protection in today's society.

This scene highlights an imaginary society characterized by distrust and indifference, raising important questions about the impact of social media on human connection. Does social media truly bring people together, or does it create a culture of secrecy and self-preservation?
In the virtual world, individuals often go to great lengths to conceal their identities and personal information. This behavior begs the question: are people using these measures to protect themselves, or are they ultimately causing more harm than good? The prevalence of such behaviors is a testament to the complicated relationship between privacy, protection, and social interaction in today's society.

Dual explores the potential of moving images through the interplay of black and white, shadows, virtual images, and physical objects. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Chinese philosophy of ‘Yin Yang’, which explores dualism and the coexistence of opposing concepts, the experiment aims to create a dialogue between these elements. By intertwining virtual images and the shadows of physical objects, the project creates an illusion that blurs the line between the two, leading to a sense of confusion for the audience.

Through performance and the use of moving images, this artwork explores and portrays the city. As the "City Inspector," it intervenes in the predetermined urban routine, navigating through the crowds. Along with replicating existing phenomena, it introduces new concepts to create new rules. It stretches our imagination within the familiar spatial and social order, encouraging us to reconsider and redefine our current environment. As a vehicle for external information, can this artwork awaken people's awareness of the environment and help them break away from the numbness of fast-paced living?

Huo Ran was a site-specific and collaborative project. The purpose of the public artwork was to engage with local communities. As one of the new media artists, I designed the illuminated part of the work while architects and civil engineers designed the structure.

This piece explores the idea of 'seeing ' versus 'ignoring', encouraging viewers to reevaluate the mundane objects they often overlook and consider how these objects might be part of new, unseen ecosystems. It also asks: if we could reimagine these everyday items, giving them new meaning, what kinds of unforeseen ecosystems might emerge in the urban landscape?
