WEARABLE SCULPTURE
Shifting Cocoon is a thought-provoking project that raises fundamental questions about identity, privacy, self-disclosure, and social norms. The project prompts us to consider whether we all wear a figurative mask to protect our true selves, and whether this might become an increasingly common practice in the future.
The device itself offers the wearer a unique degree of control over their personal privacy. With the ability to reveal or conceal their entire face at will, the user can create a sense of security in situations where they might otherwise feel vulnerable. This capability brings a new dimension to the discourse surrounding personal autonomy, and it invites us to think more deeply about the importance of self-expression and self-protection in today's society.
